Being headquartered in a large consumption Nation - India, Proventus has been able to seize opportunities for directly sourcing and importing produce from around the globe - from quality packers and /or direct from farm gates. Clocking in Annual imports of over 200 INR Cr in FY19, across the dry fruits and pulses bucket.

local procurement

With produce being available seasonally in India - millers and processors are continuously looking for stockists who will procure domestic produce during peak arrivals period against long term purchase contracts - this is a role that Proventus was able to fill with its ability to source via multiple avenues of mandis, farmers, traders and even exchange/derivatives delivery - with a presence across the entire range of domestic produce

Whole Sale

With a presence in the primary mandis and broker networks pan-India, Proventus is able to sell bulk produce both processed and unprocessed - across the agro commodity spectrum and across the primary consumptions states. Moving goods in bulk from areas of production to consumption all in all clocking in well over 400 INR Cr. across various agro-commodity buckets

Retail

Proventus ventured into the Retail space with its own brand ProV in 2016, looking at selling staples across a variety of retail channels - with a focus on e-com platforms, brick and mortar via distributors, a Direct to Consumer distributor network and finally with its developing network of retail Stores - current being in APMC, Navi Mumbai.

 
 

Processing

Primary Processing

With its robust dry fruit sourcing and distribution network, Proventus ventured into value addition within this bucket with its on primary processing plants - converting raw produce to finished product for secondary processing or packing. With a plant capable of processing 2 FCL Inshell almond to almond kernel daily, hand cracking 500kgs of Inshell walnut daily - Proventus is continuously venturing into primary processing of various products where value addition yield acceptable margin

Secondary Processing

With the growing consumer demand for flavoured natural produce, Proventus further ventured into secondary processing of its wholesale products with a capacity of roasting and flavoring 5,000kg of dry fruits and nuts daily for onward sale and packing. A deeper dive into the sphere of secondary processing is underway with a focus to add a line of value added products such as nut milks, nuts flours, nut butters and granola bars

 

Packing

With a daily capacity of packing 1,00,000 packages of agri produce - Proventus offers its services as a co-packer to a variety of large institutions - providing a one stop shop of whole sale products, secondary processed goods and packaging - farm to shelf

ProV (inhouse brand)

As a natural progression across the value chain, Proventus developed its inhouse brand ProV - with an aim to capture market share in the dry fruits nuts and staple category. Achieving upwards of 1.5 lakh MT of monthly ProV sales in under 2 years of Launch covering 5 brand categories across 12 commodities crossing over 65+ SKUs.
