DP Jhawar, a Chartered Accountant, embarked on his finance career in 1998. Joining a prominent Indian financial services firm in 2005, he assumed the role of financial controller, overseeing finance, acts, taxations, legal and secretarial functions, and MIS. His pivotal contributions included spearheading due diligence for private equity, executing IPO financing, and enhancing the company's credit rating.

Playing a vital role, DP Jhawar significantly expanded the company's balance sheet from 100 Cr to 12000 Cr, maintaining a diversified liability profile. In 2008, he established and led the commodity-focused division, achieving a 6-7% peak market share in precious metals and a 10% share in certain agro commodity imports to India. The division, under his guidance, expanded globally with 9 offshore offices, 700 employees, and a turnover of 25000 Cr.

At Proventus Agrocom, DP leverages his extensive experience to serve as CEO, contributing to the company's growth across various activities, from finance to distribution. His profound knowledge ensures the steady expansion of Proventus Agrocom across the value chain of diverse commodity baskets, connecting origin to the consumer's table through the ProV brand.

Deepak Agrawal

CbO, co-founder

Bringing a decade of experience from proprietary desk roles, Deepak Agrawal stands at the forefront of Proventus Agrocom's evolution. Formerly steering a $20M proprietary fund in commodities and FX at an Indian Financial services firm based in Dubai, Deepak is well-versed in various asset classes, derivatives trading (OTC and exchange-traded), and risk management.

His expertise spans Options trading/Volatility Arbitrage, Delta One strategies, and Market Neutral Strategies across international commodities exchanges and FX trading. Complementing his trading prowess, Deepak excels in relationship management, optimizing liquidity, and reducing capital costs through strategic engagements.

Notably, as part of the Executive Committee of the Commodities Group, Deepak contributed to strategic planning, policy formulation, and major investment decisions. At Proventus Agrocom, he channels his extensive experience, spearheading global procurement and sales efforts across all verticals. His focus on the ProV brand distribution aligns seamlessly with his background, ensuring the optimal utilization of his sourcing experience for the company's growth.

Shalin Khanna

CMo, co-founder

Before joining the core team at Proventus Agrocom, Shalin Khanna devoted a decade to shaping risk governance, policies, and controls in the financial services sector in India. His significant role in formulating Risk Management policies and his position as a core founding member of the Global Risk Group underscore his expertise in the field.

Recognized for his innovative use of technology to enhance operational efficiency, implement risk controls, and generate vital management reports, Shalin has a track record of driving growth and product management policies as the head of the Commodities planning and development team. His international stint as COO for the commodities department provided him with extensive experience in cross-country compliance and risk management.

Shalin brings this wealth of experience to Proventus Agrocom as the CMO & COO, where he focuses on steering marketing plans for the ProV brand. With a keen eye for product development and innovation, he ensures that the company remains at the forefront of the market. His role involves integrating cutting-edge marketing strategies, fostering product innovation, and leveraging technology to propel Proventus Agrocom's presence in the industry.
