Responsibilities:

1.     Market Penetration:

·       Develop and implement strategies to penetrate the general trade market in the South of India for the food brand.

·       Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand the brand's presence in the region.

2.     Customer Acquisition and Relationship Building:

·       Actively seek new business opportunities and acquire new customers within the general trade segment.

·       Build and nurture strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key stakeholders.

3.     Sales Target Achievement:

·       Set ambitious sales targets for the South region and work towards achieving or exceeding them.

·       Monitor sales performance regularly and implement corrective actions as needed.

4.     Distribution Expansion:

·       Expand the distribution network for the food brand by identifying and onboarding new distributors.

·       Optimize distribution channels to ensure maximum product availability.

5.     Market Intelligence:

·       Gather and analyze market intelligence to stay informed about competitor activities and market trends.

·       Utilize insights to develop competitive strategies and enhance product positioning.

6.     Promotional Campaigns:

·       Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute effective promotional campaigns for the South region.

·       Coordinate promotional activities to boost brand visibility and drive sales.

7.     Sales Reporting:

·       Prepare and submit regular sales reports, detailing achievements, challenges, and market feedback.

·       Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills:

·       Sales Strategy Development: Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies for the general trade segment.

·       Customer Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

·       Sales Target Management: Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.

·       Distribution Network Expansion: Experience in expanding and optimizing distribution networks for consumer goods.

·       Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.

Previous Experience:

·       Successful track record in sales, particularly in the general trade segment, within the South Indian market.

·       Experience working with food brands and a deep understanding of the food industry.

Preferred Location Experience:

·       Prior sales experience specifically in the South Indian market.
